We had read reviews about Cool Runnings and seen photos of the trikes before we left the UK and thought it looked like something we would enjoy. We arrived in Caleta de Fuste late on Saturday evening and on Sunday had a walk to find the office, checked the opening times and returned first thing Monday morning to book. We chose the 4 hour tour as we have both had hip replacements and didnt know how we would feel. 9.30 on Wednesday and we were really looking forward to setting off. Russ was shown how the trike worked and had a trip around the block. At 10am once all the drivers had been put through their paces we were ready for off! The tour took in some amazing views of the island plus passed through some beautiful villages. We had enough stops that we didnt become uncomfortable but not enough to spoil the experience. A variety of road surfaces also added to the experience. Russ particularly enjoyed it when he was allowed to go faster!! On our return to the office everyone had huge grins on their faces and we all said how quickly 4hrs had gone!! This is something we would definitely do again when we return to Fuerteventura. A FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE RUN BY WONDERFUL PEOPLE. Thank you.

Highlights: Hand feeding the ravens and chipmunks, views from the mountain tops and riding the Trike. We could had stayed on the Trike for another couple of hours as it was great fun riding around on such a cool machine, although to be fair, 4 hours in the heat was probably enough! We highly recommend this tour to anyone who visits the Island, friendly staff, easy to book and a great time had by all. We thank all at Cool Runnings for a fantastic experience.

You must try this, I drove one trike and we had another that was driven for us, the driver gave commentary on what we passed and when we stopped. The ride was excellent. My wife had hurt her foot and they parked right up to places so she didnt have to walk far and could not do enough for us. Great day out for all the family, kids really enjoyed the trip and feed the crown and chipmunks.

Myself and Gordon Conway would like to thank Dave for his professionalism as our guide for our 8 hour Trike Tour on Tuesday 19th May 2015. He is so informative on the history of the island and the local attractions that we visited. The farm was really lovely to visit, I loved the goats but what was even more brilliant was "George and Mildred" - he has a great friendship with them, but most importantly, we both think that Dave is an absolute asset - he is friendly and courteous and knows his stuff. If we come back to visit the island again we will absolutely take another Trike Tour with you and hopefully have Dave as our Tour Guide again, Thank you so much for a fabulous day out.

Did the 6 hour tour with driver Dave. Daves an excellent guide, giving us lots of local information and allowing us as much or as little time as we wanted at each stop. It was a bit gusty in places on the trike, which made it interesting but it was well worth the money. The trikes are very comfortable and Dave was a very careful and courteous driver, so there were no scary moments!

Was looking forward to the trikes before I left home....done the 4 hour trip in May....just done the 2 hour this time as we had a 76 years young lady with us who wanted to ave a go. Excellent! Cannot describe the fun, enjoyment had by the whole family!
Both Mike and John were fabulous hosts, more than guides.
You could say one of the best highlights of our holiday, only wished we had booked a longer tour. We booked a "reserved" 4 hour tour as the girls in our family were not keen! Within minutes of setting off this all changed.
To sum it up, smiles, laughter, excitement, would recommend to everyone visiting the island, DEFINITELY!

We decided to take the two hour tour and decided we wanted to ride "the pink panther"....we both think the tour was by far the best excursion we have experienced in a long time. Everything was explained clearly and the trip itself was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed it, although we wished the french man riding on the same trip would speed up just a little bit! The tour we had was amazing, the scenery was awesome and the roads great to be on.
Trevor our guide for the tour was very friendly and put everyone at ease, he was also full of local knowledge on customs and traditions,which helped give us an insight into the local way of life, this all helped to make it a fantastic experience for of us .

Hi just got back from yet another fantastic holiday on the island but what makes it fantastic is the tours with Coolrunnings. We went out on 2 separate 4 hour tours each time, but on the first tour we arrived in fancy dress as Superman and Wonder Women to the surprise of John, Lynn, Trevor and Audrey.

Hi ,compelled to leave some feed back in case there are people considering a tour but a bit worried ,I was a bit to be honest ,not overly however I hadn't been on a bike for 35 years ,just as john said within a few mins I was settled and what a fantastic thing to do had the mrs and 10 year old on the back ,we all enjoyed it so much we booked again two days later ,I really didn't want to get off ,I have had bikes before loads of nice cars and had quads in Egypt but the trike in the mountains is something else and close to nature. Thank you cool running ,I will grab a flight and would do the trip to have a tour with some mates in the near future. Broke the monotony of the holiday good value for a great buzz.      Peter Bacon

Having read the reviews I was really looking forward to the tour..neither hubby or myself were not  disappointed! We did the 4 hour chauffeur driven tour and John, with his humour and knowledge made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Would I recommend it? Thanks to John, his Wife and his partner for our first ever Trike experience. Me and my Wife had a fab taster tour whilst on holiday in Caleta De Fuste treated to a six trike ride out into the mountains on some fabulous roads to the local goat farm.

My Husband, myself & two friends went on a 2 hour Chauffeur driven Trike Tour, and we all thoroughly enjoyed it, we had 2 lovely drivers who were alert at all times, we had good humoured banter with them throughout the trip. They took us to a cheese making farm with lots of animals & some baby goats which were only a few days old, we were given some nuts to feed the larger goats & I even feed the camel... it was all good fun, & we enjoyed tasting the Honey Rum. I would heartily recommend trying it.

 Excellent day. Honestly can't recommend it highly enough. My wife and I went on a 4 hour tour where I drove the trike myself. Have never even been on a motorbike but this was quite straightforward. We both thoroughly enjoyed our trip and would do it again. Only thing I'd do differently is not take my jacket off, gets a bit windy for a t-shirt! Try it!!!

Got back to UK early hours of Sunday morning last week and went straight back into boring work and adjusting to the cold weather. We have in fact woken up to some snow this morning :(
Hope all went well John and Lyn on your trip back to UK and I assume that you are now proud grandparents to your new grandson so many congratulations to you both.  Honestly John you really do not look old enough to be a grandad.........I hope that this makes up for the fact that I didn't jump in when you told me you would soon be collecting you bus pass lol. 
It was a pleasure to meet Trevor and Audrey.  Marshall loved being on the trike with Trevor and still hasn't stopped talking about it.  Also Trevor if you ever decide to visit the Isle of Sheppey again then please let us know and we would only be too happy to show you around, (especially if you came with one of the trikes :)
We were sorry to have missed Mark as he was there on our first visit but hope that he is pleased to be back.  I think he picked the right time considering the weather.

We had a fantastic time Lynda and I did the 4 hour tour. We went on the spider trike, driven by Trevor. Even though I am disabled it was no problem at all. Trevor was brilliant.  When we stopped at the pit stops he parked by the entrance so I didn't have to walk far because I didn't have my wheelchair. I would like to say a huge thank you for the team and all the work that went into making it a great day. Also thank you for the use of the allen key to fix my chair.You are a great team and would recommend this to all our friends . It was a complete change to not being  in the car and being hot and sticky.

We had a 4hr stint with John, me and the Misses and a Polish couple, we had the yellow trike... the pipes were amazing - what a sound! Being a biker no cluch on the bars was weird but ok after 5 mins ok lol!!!! John was a cool guy he knew his stuff. The roads were amazing biker citty [love to take my own] went to goat farm met Rambo [big dood] the views were breathtaking. Flatout on the way back!!..... you got to do the tour.  My partner & I had an amazing time in Caleta de Fuste, we found Cool Runnings through TripAdviser as I was searching for things to do when on the island of Fuerteventura and this was one of the best! First stop on the tour we stopped at a small coffee shop and had  refreshments and then it was time to move on further up the into the mountains and when we stopped at a car park, John started whistling and calling for the chipmunks to come out from their hiding places and all of a sudden 2 Ravens flew down and landed on the wall and John fed them some monkey nuts... these were wild birds that John has made friends with, he calls them George & Mildred.
Third stop was a goat farm where we tried various cheeses and some honey rum which was very nice indeed. Anyway this was just a small write up about these fabulous tours so if you want to have fun and check out the scenery and parts of the island you won’t see if you stay by the pool then this is the trip for you.
We took the four hour tour which was fantastic but on our next visit we will be booking one of the longer ones|

Cool Runnings was one of the (and definitely my) highlights of our two weeks in Fuerteventura. We are a family of four (2 adults and 2 kids - 7 and 10 years) and, having read some of the other testimonials and spoken to a friend, decided to take the 8 hour tour.  Billy (my husband) has mobility problems and had a seat on the back of the guide trike.  I drove a trike with the two kids as passengers on the back.  Having only ever driven a car previously (and never driven abroad at all) I was a bit nervous.  However, after a few minutes around the car park, we set off and it was exhilarating!  I was completely hooked!  The trip is well done with regular stops to have a coffee/see the sights.  You definately have a much better experience than sitting in a coach or in a car.  Some of the best bits (for us) were seeing John call the ravens and having them eat our of our hands, the giants (!), caves at Ajuy, just being on the open road and seeing the scenery and or course the chipmunks.
John, Lyn and the team are terrific, very professional. We would recommend the 8 hour trip wholeheartedly, it gives you a chance to see a few different areas. Our kids coped well with this and asked for more at the end of the day!
We will definately take another trip when we return to Fuerteventura. The Step-Inn does a good beer afterwards too!!

Wow - how fantastic was that!!! We took the full day tour and saw EVERYTHING!!! Feeding the ravens and chipmunks in the mountains had to be the highlight of the tour - John just whistled and they swooped in to his call - and they have babies, what a bonus, they arent cheeky enough yet to take the nuts from Johns hands but Im sure he will get them to eventually! The views were spectacular and John was a brilliant chauffeur, pointing out all the interesting sights on the island and it was great, all we had to do was sit back and enjoy! I work for a excursion booking office here in Fuerteventura and had the absolute pleasure of going on a 2hour tour with my visiting sister and her children. John gave simple instructions which my sister (the brave driver of the girlie pink panther) found easy to follow and with a little trepidation, off we went!
WOW!! The tour was amazing! It even left me speechless, which is amazing in itself!!! There was lots to see and it was wonderful to get away from the town and see the spectacular views, and the feeling from being on the trike is undescribable! It left me on an adrenaline 'high' and the 2hour tour really was not long enough! We asked the kids at the end of their holiday which was their favourite part out of all
the activities they had done and they all shouted out 'THE TRIKES' !!!

Me, my wife and my 3 yr old daughter took the 4 hour tour through the mountains,after some arguing about what colour trike to ride, (my daughter won - it was the pink panther!) and what a brilliant day we had. Our guide took us to see some amazing views of the mountains and the island. We got to feed the ravens which my little girl thought was great, unfortunately the chipmunks did'nt come out to play that day but we had an absolutely amazing experience.I would like to thank everyone in the Cool Runnings team for a perfect end to a great holiday! We had to take three tours, one simply wasn't enough!!
The first two tours were a special birthday present for my partner Steve, who knew nothing about the trikes until John turned up at our hotel - from then on it was pure magic. After being driven by Steve on the first two tours I decided I had to drive and so we booked our third tour!
Anyone who misses the chance to tour on one of these trikes is missing the thrill of a lifetime, you go as fast or slow as you want and really see the people and the country when you drive across the island through the tiny, traditional spanish villages.
If you love animals, the pitstop to feed the chipmonks with Johns never ending supply of peanuts is an absolute must. What a holiday, what memories! Just trying to organise our next one now to return and visit our new found friends John and Lyn.

I know it has taken a bit of time to send this feedback, but all I am going to say is if you get the chance grab it with both hands! The tour itself is not far short of amazing and I havent experienced anything like it before. John and the other tourguides know their stuff and I don't even think anything is as good as travelling along them freeways, and to get to the top of the mountain to see them breathtaking views is top of the pops. We cant thank you enough for what turned out to be the highlight of our holiday. Victor was a great guide and we got to see sights that we would never have seen. Where else could you hand feed chipmunks? Absolutely BRILL, went on a 4 hour tour I drove and had daughter and wife on back, we all absolutely loved it.  What a great way to see the Island.  What fabulous roads to ride on, they are a dream.  Just one tip, wear something warm. It was a hot day when we went, however as you ride along it can get quite chilly, so wear warm clothing.  The view from the view tower at top of mountain is breathtaking, and feeding the chipmonks was wonderfull.
Definitely well worth the money it was excellent!!!

WOW,WOW,WOW! If you are looking for inspiration, a sensation of 'stepping outside the box' and a huge amount of fun then this is THE trip to do whilst staying on Fuerteventura. Everything about this experience was positive right from the word go when we popped into the office to see Lynne and talk about the Trikes and the various tours through to meeting John at the appointed hour for our tour. It was AMAZING! John was our chauffeur for the 4 hour Ajuy trip and he has a wealth of knowledge about the island and it's people. To have your own guide and  e out on a beautiful day with all the sights and sounds along the way was just magical. The Tikes were something we'd never done before but once we had, we wished there had been more time to take another trip. Put very simply....it was truly unique - we are still smiling!

Great tour, best I've been on.  My wife and sister in law (Lynn and Marie) rode pillion with your son in control (I felt sorry for him), and they loved it.  Me like a p*** forgot my driving licence so had to ride pillion with the boss, but this did not spoil things in any way.  He took us on a great tour, including death vally, which Marie was dreading, but loved.  The views from the observatory were amazing.  All in all it made our holiday.  Thankyou for a brilliant day.  Must remember my licence next time, and there will be a next time.  See you soon.

What an experience!!!!!  We saw the trikes on the market and spoke to both John and Lyn, as I (Linda) am very, very nervous of heights and had never been on a bike before.  They said that they would probably only recommend the 69 tour for us so we went into the office the next day and booked.  WELL what a brilliant time we had!  John had said that he would go at my speed and told us to tap his shoulder once if we wanted to go faster, so on the way back Peter leant over and tapped Johns shoulder on my side (I think John was really shocked).  The trike took off and it was fantastic.  We enjoyed this two hour tour so much we went back and booked a four hour tour for another day, again I do not have the superlatives to describe our day.  Many, many thanks John and Lyn for a wonderful experience, the scenery was beautiful, Johns knowledge and driving was excellent and we will definately be taking the whole island tour when we next visit Fuerteventura.

Well, what can I say ..... I cannot thank you enough for what was undoubtably the most fun, and most exciting holiday tour I have ever experienced, nothing beats the trikes for making a tour so much fun.  The views of the mountains were spectacular as were making friends with the chipmonks.  Such a lovely island would not of been so enjoyable to view without the trikes and the tour guides, John and James, who made it so much fun.  I would recommend this to everyone of any age.  My 6 year old son enjoyed it every bit as much as me and had not stopped nagging me to book for next year, so to avoid disappointment I have now rebooked for next July.  Hope to see you there .....

Without a doubt we definitely left the best till last (took tour on last day of our hols).  We took the 6 hour tour and had so much fun the time just flew by.  We found the trike extremely comfortable, it handled very well.  John put us at ease right away with his friendly manner and professionalism.  The day was absolutely fantastic from start to finish.  It must have been 30 degrees.  Great feeling the warm air in our faces, the freedom of the open road, the roar of the twin exhausts, the chrome glistening in the sunshine, turning heads as we entered the various locals villages.  The scenery was breath taking.  Had fun feeding nuts, kindly provided by John, to the grey squirrels and the wild rook which ate from our hands (that even surprised John! lol).  The trip up to the lighthouse was exhilerating WOW.  The visit to Ajuy and the caves - such rugged natural beauty - (look out John he's behind you!!!!! lol).  The view from the observatory in Betencuria was stunning.  Could go on and on but you just gotta try it 4 ur self.  An unforgetable and unique experience.  If we return to Fuerteventura we'll definitely be booking the Easy Rider Tour.  Thanks John for a magical day and it was really lovely to meet you.

Wow!!  What a fantastic day.  The day was perfect from start to finish, we had the pink panther trike with my husband driving and me and my 7 year old daughter Emily on the back.  My five year old son Matthew went on the back of the Big Boss
on his own with James driving (Matthew did not shut up all day, chat chat to James like he had known him forever), he thought it was the coolest thing ever and couldn't wait to tell all his school friends what he had done on holiday.  The views of the island are to say the least spectacular!!  We did the 4 hour tour and my kids and us enjoyed every minute of it.  Feeding the chipmonks was incredible.  The observatory should not be missed by anybody visiting the island, 360* panoramic view from the highest point.  Superb!  This tour is a must for anyone young or old an experience of a lifetime.  John and all the gang, you are Stars ******

Absolutely brilliant!  Can't convey enough how much we enjoyed ourselves.  I was meant to drive the trike but after test driving it I wasn't at all confident in taking it out onto the roads (I'd never driven a bike!).  John and the other people we were with were brilliant & made me feel at ease that I'd made the right decision not to drive if I wasn't comfortable.  John kindly said my partner, Justin, could drive instead and we had a fabulous time.  We did the 69k Tour (for 69 euros, which is outstanding value for the experience that you have) and went up into the mountains in Betancuria.  When we got to the top you could see down into Betancuria on one side and then all the way across to the other side of the island and the sea ..... stunning!  John was a fantastic guide ..... he was relaxed, had good island knowledge and had a good sense of humour ..... thanks to him for an unforgettable experience.  It was the highlight of our holiday!

We decided to take the trike tour as this was something completely different we had never experienced.  We saw this advertised on Sky Travel before departing and really wanted to do this.  We booked the trike tour as soon as we could and have never experienced a trip like this.  If we could sum this up in two words ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!!  Thanks to John, Lyn and James who made the tour a pleasure, ensuring all went smoothly.  This is a must for anyone to do whilst visiting the island and will not be disappointed at all.  Definately booking up again for next year so we will be back!  Thanks Cool Runnings for making our holiday one to remember.

Well what can we say?! Not many people can say that they spent their Silver Wedding Anniversary the way we did ..... on the back of a Fuertetrike!!!  What an
absolutely fantastic day we had too.  Our driver Victor was fantastic and John (what a lovely man!) came along too to make sure our day was special and it deffinately was.  The views were breathtaking, and the open roads!  It was the first time for both of us on a motorbike of any kind and I (Dot) was a bit worried about going but there was no need, I felt completely safe from start to finish.  If anyone is unsure whether to give it a try just go for it you will have an experience that you will get nowhere else.  The champagne was a lovely surprise, thank you so much for that.  And Lyn you have been fantastic on the e-mail sorting everything out for us, thank you to all of you, you made our special day extra special, a day we will remember forever.  P.S. Superb!  I went on the tour with my two sons James and Ryan.  James was a bit unsure about going at first (James is autistic) but once we got on the
open road he started to change his view and started to enjoy himself.  When we stopped to feed the chipmunks James was in his element and was feeding them with the monkeynuts that John had with him.  John had sensed that James had some problems and was very understanding with him and took the time to make sure that he had a constant supply of food for the chipmunks.  Ryan also had a great time and if given the chance he would of rode the trike with every opportunity he was sitting on the drivers seat.  John, I can only say thank you

We found the tour on the internet before our holiday and booked on
arrival.  We holidayed in the south of the island and had to get a bus to the trikes.  This took an hour (after one eventually arrived), so when we got to the trikes we were tired.  Once we started driving, all the time we took to arrive was forgotten and we all agreed that the WOW factor of driving these fantastic machines was amazing.  John led us up to the view point and we stopped and took in the incredible sights.  Thanks.  Any one that visits the island THIS IS A MUST DO TRIP.

I would just like to say to anyone thinking about whether to do this tour or not , go for it!  John explains everything really well and I met a man coming back from a tour who had never driven a bike and he got on fine as it is more like a cross between a car and a bike to drive.  Take your camera with you as the scenery on the route is spectacular.  I can honestly say it was the highlight of our Fuerteventura holiday and we did quite a few excursions, but none got the adrenaline going like the trikes, so it just left to say well done to COOL RUNNINGS and keep up the good work

What a great time we had, I still haven't stopped smiling about it (Don).  It was a great way to see some of the island and Mike was a great bloke that made you feel totally relaxed.  We went on the Route 69 tour which is a great starter tour but we will definitely be doing the whole island tour next time.  We would recommend any of the tours to anybody.

We had a very good tour.  We both said it was just a great couple of hours out - we saw some of the island we would not have seen if we had not done the tour!  Our driver was great, you have a good man there.  He seemed to know a lot about the area and history of the Island so a BIG THANK YOU to him.  See you again soon.

I'd like to say thank you for putting me at ease as I was very nervous about the tour (having never been on anything with less than four wheels, sides and a roof!).  Although I felt nervous to start with that soon faded and I came away having enjoyed the ride a great deal.  I would definately do it again and for longer next time.  Go on have a go, if I can anyone can!  Thanks. x

Thanks for a great tour.  My daughter (10 yrs) was delighted to go on the pink panther trike as she was wearing the t-shirt to match, and seeing the photos here on-line is cool.  The built in entertainment (tour guide) was fantastic.  I have to say as a single mum the tour was ideally suited and a great day out.

Thank you for a lovely tour.  The views from the mountain were lst class.  Its been many years since I had the wind blowing in face, it brought back very many happy memories.  My husband really enjoyed driving the trike with me and my daughter-in-law Fiona and grandaughter Imogen and my son Andrew and grandson Joshusa, whose birthday treat it was, were with John, so a very big thank you to him.  We took many photos to remind us all what a good time we all had, we will do the longer tour next time.  A big THANK YOU TO YOU ALL

This was a first class two trike tour with drivers John and Steve offering a sound knowledge of the island, going at the pace you want and places off the normal tourist traps.  Both are very personable and a laugh to spend the day with.  It's suitable for all age groups.  Nothing was too much trouble and would strongly recommend a tour.  Thanks for a great day out.

My wife and I would like to thank you for the wonderfull tour we took with you on the the 8th June this year.  Being senior citizens we did wonder whether we would like it.  Like it, it was one of the best four hours we spent on our holiday.  John our tour leader and Dave our pilot could not have been more helpful and informative - they really made it a most enjoyable afternoon.  Would we most certainly go again and if there are any other people in their senior years considering this trip, I say to you go for it.  Once again to you, John and Dave and all your back up team, thank you so much.  Hope to see you again one day.

We actually booked the tour for our friends, they enjoyed it far more than we would have believed.
